Design and feel

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G in Green combines a large display with a slim design. The dimensions are 163.44 × 78.27 × 8.65 mm and the weight is 229.5 g.

Display – bright AMOLED with eye comfort

The large 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display features 1.5K resolution (2772 × 1280) and up to 120 Hz refresh rate (in supported apps). For clear readability even in bright light, it is rated for up to 3500 nits peak brightness, 2000 nits HBM, and 1060 nits (typ).

The display supports 12-bit color depth and the DCI-P3 color gamut, as well as 3840 Hz PWM dimming. It is also TÜV Rheinland certified for Low Blue Light (hardware solution), Circadian Friendly, and Flicker Free – for more comfortable use throughout the day.

Robustly built for everyday life

The front is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2. According to SGS certification, the phone can withstand drops of up to 3 meters under specified test conditions. It is also IP66/IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. Water resistance is tested in a laboratory environment in fresh water at depths of up to 2 meters for up to 72 hours (note that this does not correspond to normal use, and protection may diminish over time due to wear/damage).

Camera – sharp images and 4K video

The main camera is 50 MP with OIS, a bright ƒ/1.5 aperture, and a 6P lens. For wider views, there is an 8 MP ultra-wide camera (ƒ/2.2, 112°). On the front is a 32 MP selfie camera (ƒ/2.2, 4P lens).

Video can be recorded in 4K at 30 fps as well as 1080p at 30/60 fps and 720p at 30 fps.

Performance and storage

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon® 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform built on a 4 nm process. This version has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Memory technology is listed as LPDDR5X and storage as UFS 4.0 (note that available memory is lower than the stated capacity due to the operating system and pre-installed software).

Battery and charging

With a 9210mAh (typ) silicon-carbon battery, the goal is worry-free usage for up to 3 days (tested by Xiaomi Internal Labs; results may vary). 100W HyperCharge is supported. Check with the retailer to see if a power adapter is included in the packaging.

AI features and software

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G comes with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and support for AI features such as Google Gemini, Circle to Search with Google, as well as Xiaomi HyperAI and AI Creativity Assistant. Availability may vary depending on region, compatibility, and requirements for internet connection/account.

Audio, security, and connectivity

For a more immersive experience, there is Dolby Atmos® and Hi-Res Audio, as well as a volume boost of up to 400% (measured in internal tests; actual effect may vary). Secure unlocking is provided via an in-screen fingerprint sensor as well as AI face unlock.
