The Aqara Camera Hub G5 Pro (PoE) is more than just a surveillance camera – it also functions as an outdoor-capable hub for Zigbee and Thread. This allows you to connect Aqara devices and other smart accessories, while also acting as a Matter controller to bridge devices and ecosystems.

With a built-in Thread Border Router, the G5 Pro can also provide Thread support to smart home hubs from other brands, helping you achieve a more cohesive installation.

Wide ecosystem compatibility

The camera is designed to work with multiple platforms and solutions, including Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, Home Assistant, and Homey.

Sharp image – even in the dark

The G5 Pro delivers Quad HD 4MP resolution (2688×1520) and has a wide 133° field of view (diagonal). Thanks to the f/1.0 aperture and True Full Color Night Vision, you get improved light intake for a clearer picture when it is dark. The built-in spotlight can also be used in security and automation scenarios.

Local AI support for smarter events

The built-in NPU allows the camera to use locally hosted AI for both image and sound: 7-in-1 Visual AI and 4-in-1 Audio AI simultaneously. Visual AI can, among other things, recognize faces, vehicles, people, and animals, as well as detect if someone is loitering, if the lens is blocked, and if a package has been delivered (package detection refers to stationary packages). You can set up detections to trigger notifications, start recording, or have the camera take action.

Privacy in focus

The G5 Pro is compatible with HomeKit Secure Video and features encrypted local eMMC storage. It also supports end-to-end encryption for video footage sent to both Apple and Aqara clouds, according to available product information.

PoE: stable connectivity for outdoor use

The PoE version uses an Ethernet port for both data and power (Power over Ethernet), which provides a stable and reliable connection. USB-C can be used as an alternative power source.

Built for weather and temperatures

With an IP65 rating, the camera is protected against water and dust and is specified for operation in temperatures from -30°C to +50°C – for year-round surveillance.

Network storage and streaming

The G5 Pro supports RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol) for local video streaming to software such as Frigate and Blue Iris. It also has SMB NAS support for expanded local storage options. For viewing on more screens, the camera can stream to Alexa, Google, and Samsung smart displays and TVs.

Flexible mounting

The rotating stand can be mounted on flat surfaces, walls, or ceilings. The stand can also be replaced with a 1/4-inch screw, facilitating custom installations both indoors and outdoors.
