A compact hub for your smart home
The Aqara Hub E1 is a compact and flexible smart home hub that acts as the central link between compatible Aqara devices and your smart home. Despite its very small size, it can manage up to 128 compatible Aqara Zigbee devices, allowing you to create automations, control devices, and monitor your home via the Aqara Home app.
The Hub E1 is particularly suitable for those who want to expand an existing Aqara system or create a discreet smart home without installing a larger standalone hub.
Zigbee 3.0 – stable and energy-efficient communication
The Hub E1 uses Zigbee 3.0, a wireless standard developed for smart homes where low energy consumption, fast response, and stable communication are key features. Through the hub, compatible Aqara sensors, switches, controllers, and other accessories can communicate with each other and be used together in smart automations.
The hub can support up to 128 Aqara devices. To reach the maximum number, Zigbee router or repeater devices—such as compatible Aqara Smart Plugs or wired smart wall switches with a neutral wire—may be required.
Support for multiple smart home ecosystems
The Aqara Hub E1 makes compatible Aqara devices available on several popular smart home platforms. Depending on the connected Aqara device in use, the system can be integrated with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and IFTTT.
This means that compatible sensors and other Aqara devices can be included in automations or controlled by voice via supported platforms.
The Hub E1 functions primarily as a gateway and is not itself an end device controlled directly from third-party platforms. Instead, it acts as a bridge for compatible Aqara devices connected to the hub.
Control and monitor your home with Aqara Home
Via the Aqara Home app, you can manage compatible devices connected to the Hub E1, check their status, and create automations between different products in your home.
Once the system is connected to the internet, you can also access compatible functions when you are away from home, such as checking device status and receiving notifications, depending on which Aqara products are being used.
Built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi repeater
In addition to functioning as a Zigbee hub, the Aqara Hub E1 can also be used as a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi repeater. This function can help improve Wi-Fi coverage for compatible devices in areas where the signal from your main router is weaker.
The Wi-Fi repeater function supports up to two connected devices simultaneously. It is therefore primarily intended as a supplement for a small number of smart home devices rather than as a replacement for a full-scale Wi-Fi router or mesh solution.
USB-A for easy installation
The Hub E1 has an integrated USB-A connector and therefore requires no separate power cable. It can be connected directly to a compatible USB power source, such as a USB wall adapter, computer, power bank, router, or a power strip with a USB port.
Power consumption is low, and the hub requires only 5V DC and 0.5A, with a maximum power draw of 2.5W.
210° adjustable design
The integrated USB connector sits on an adjustable hinge that can be rotated up to 210°. This makes installation more flexible and makes it easier to use the hub even when the USB port is at an angle or where space around the port is limited.
Measuring 108 × 30 × 8 mm, the Hub E1 is also very compact and takes up minimal space in the home.
Flexible placement in the home
The combined USB-A design and compact format mean that the Hub E1 can be placed in many different locations. It can, for example, be connected to a USB port behind a piece of furniture, near the router, in a power strip, or to a separate USB adapter.
Its discreet design makes it particularly useful where you want an Aqara hub without having to place another larger device on a table or shelf.
